My Background
I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University and have over 25 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy. I have treated children in numerous settings, including inpatient, outpatient, early intervention teams, schools, and in the home. Driven by ongoing professional development, I continue to add certifications / skills to my knowledge base, including Baby Begin (plagiocephaly and torticollis), TOTs training, TMR, pelvic floor, functional nutrition.
My Approach
I enjoy working with all ages, but especially with the infant population impacted by postural imbalances, asymmetries, "flat head" syndrome, and tongue-ties. I believe my clients are best served by looking at the whole person, as well as the environment, and targeting the root dysfunction; often, this is best done in collaboration with other disciplines. My ultimate goal for working with clients is to support, educate, and empower them, together with the families, to allow achievement of developmental milestones, motor/movement goals, and ultimately function.
